Strong family – As part of the Bell Food Group

Being part of a strong family is a cornerstone of Eisberg’s success and regional leadership. With this background, as a member of the Bell Food Group, we can realise our ambitious visions and plans.

Eisberg Group’s newest and most modern facility is pictured on the right.

The roots of the Bell Food Group go back to 1869, when butcher Samuel Bell-Roth opened his first shop in Basel. It grew into a group of companies known throughout Europe, consisting of a number of international companies and brands (including Eisberg), with a product range covering the entire food market, from meat to confectionery and fruit and vegetables. Today, more than 13,000 employees in 15 countries work every day to produce high-quality food products (including salads, sandwiches, ready meals, pasta, soups, condiments, frozen products).

Values

We strive to create a working environment that inspires our employees and where they feel valued and appreciated as part of the team. Long-term and sustainable success can only be achieved with satisfied employees.

Our company culture is open, respectful and inclusive. We value diversity, unique perspectives and skills. We continuously develop the potential and strengths of our people. Training and learning opportunities are not just buzzwords, but promises that are kept. Communication at all levels is open, honest and critical.

The physical and mental wellbeing of our employees is also important, and this is achieved by creating a safe and ergonomic working environment and stress management programmes. Only a healthy team can be successful.

Transparency

Over the past three decades, we have built a reliable supplier team of domestic and international growers. They are growing with care and respect for the environment, producing healthy, high-quality raw materials.

Their activities are constantly monitored to strict standards. We take samples of all fruit and vegetables and only those that are in perfect condition are processed. We also check the officially established residue levels of the active ingredients of the pesticides used.

During processing, we use infra, laser and high definition cameras to filter out foreign matter and product defects, followed by a multi-stage washing process, including the use of insect filters. This is followed by drying, mixing and packaging.
The quality of the products is checked several times, and they can only go further in the process if they have reached the desired quality at each checkpoint.

Our Vision

Our aim at the Eisberg Group is to meet the challenges of the world, firstly in terms of sustainability and protecting the environment, and secondly to meet the expectations of our consumers and the market by always providing them with colourful, fresh and healthy products.

We strive to develop solutions that meet our customers’ needs, and we do this through innovation in every area, from product development to packaging.

We are constantly testing new ingredients. We are constantly developing fresh recipes. We test new packaging technologies and materials with sustainability and convenience in mind.
Looking to the future, the Eisberg Group wants to be what it is today: a modern and exemplary company.

Open, honest and straightforward communication at all levels also serves this purpose.

  • Performance

  • The courage to face problems

  • Accepting and helping each other

We fight against breast cancer

As a key player in the fight against breast cancer, Eisberg Hungary is constantly fundraising to help patients. Every October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we launch a salad mix with a unique packaging and composition. The Pink Mix, which comes in pink packaging, has quickly become popular and a portion of the price of each pack sold goes to support the fight against breast cancer.

No waste!

The production of salads naturally generates some green waste and surpluses, and a solution for recycling this has been developed in the area of social responsibility. Most of the unprocessed leaves and stalks are used as fresh fodder for cows and other animals such as horses and goats. The remaining surplus goes to an insect farm in Hungary for further utilization.
