Retail Product Development Manager
Zoltán loves colorful salads.
Every day brings a new challenge, whether it’s creating a well-composed salad or leading the teamwork. Every element has its role, and only together can they work truly well and harmoniously.
The Company and the Work
I’ve been working at Eisberg for nearly 10 years as the retail product development manager. I would describe my work and the decade I’ve spent at Eisberg in one word: dynamic. What I like most about my work is the creative aspect, because that’s when I can truly be myself. Over the last 10 years, I’ve experienced many exciting tasks and many fond moments. It’s hard to pick just one, but when the team celebrated my 30th birthday, it was a very pleasant gesture.
Colors and Salads
Eisberg’s slogan: “Everyone loves salad.” How much of a salad lover are you?
Before I started working here, I barely knew salads and knew very little about them, but that has changed since. You wouldn’t believe how wide the range of salad types is, and how diverse the world of salads is. It’s one of the few foods that can truly be called healthy and easily incorporated into a health-conscious diet. It feels good to me that the product we make contributes to healthy eating and preserving people’s health. That’s why it’s important to popularize salads. They can be eaten not only as a side dish but also as a main course.
What was the last salad you ate?
I had a BIO baby leaf mix.
What is your favorite salad or salad mix?
My favorites are our colorful bowl products, the latest ones contain bulgur, tuna, basil pasta, and pesto. There are several variations, but if I had to pick just one, it would be the pesto chicken.
What was the craziest salad combination you’ve ever eaten?
I’ve tried wasabi microgreens (small leaf shoots). It was interesting to experience what flavors can be brought out in salads naturally, and how we can use salad as a spice. Recently, I tried fruits (e.g., grapefruit, pomegranate) with salads and rucola, and it was surprising how well the sour-sweet flavor harmonized with the spicy taste of the salad and rucola.
If you had to describe yourself with a salad or salad mix, which one would it be?
Salads are very sensitive; if they’re not in the right environment, they spoil quickly. From a distance, they can look very similar, but if you take a closer look, you’ll see many differences between them. It’s a diverse world. Just like a colorful salad mix, I am also complex and diverse.
What is your hobby?
Reading, movies, friends, cooking.
What is your favorite color?
Blue.
What colors your life the most?
My loved ones are the most important to me. The time spent with them, the laughter, the conversations, are the things that make the world more colorful and happier.
